GoCam by Crunchfish offers the possibility to capture and browse photos using hand gestures, allowing users to operate the device from a distance.
To interact with GoCam, users need to perform gestures that are then detected by the built-in camera of their iPhone or iPad. Placing the hand at a minimum distance of 30 cm from the device and making subtle gestures will allow GoCam to recognize and respond to commands, even in low-light environments. The touchless feature can be utilized at distances of up to three meters.
When it comes to capturing photos and videos, users can execute various gestures such as the "grab" gesture for group shots, the "V-sign" gesture for quick snaps, or using touch commands represented by an on-screen hand icon.
In the gallery section, users can swipe through their photos effortlessly and indicate a thumbs-up gesture to mark a photo as a favorite.
For GoCam to operate efficiently, it requires permission to access the device's camera for capturing photos and controlling functions through gestures. Additionally, access to the user's photo library is necessary for saving and sharing images within the GoCam platform.
